The Drake
House was built in the 1859 by Foster F. Robinson. This two storey “I” was
bought by Abner and Harvey Drake in 1866. General Longstreet of the Confederacy
was a guest here and a reception was held in his honor. The home was bought
1866 by W.A. and Harvey Drake; inherited in Annie Drake in 1890; inherited by
Aubrey Drake in 1935. Home remains in the Drake family today.
